Ah, Much Better

Weather in the 60s and all of a sudden you have a carpet of crocus and hot hellebore action!

The Snow Melt

The snow was beauty - all the more so because it did no damage. So instead of franticly cutting and cleaning as I did last year, we could simply wander around and enjoy. With all the precipitation we are having, we should have a floriferous spring! All the ferns are cut back and a few hellebores & crocus are blooming. Large, undulating flocks of songbirds are arcing through, surely a harbinger of spring! Hopefully an early one. Happy Lundi Gras.

Winter Wet

Not much gardening going on around here as the weather has remained cold and wet. I have begun, sporadically, the fern cutback and am about 150 gallons in.
